A decadent cake on a minimalist ceramic plate - the perfect combination!

Having just sold my latest set of minimal plates I felt like I needed something decadent to show off the black plate & dessert spoon set I’ve been creating so headed over to Gilt Patisserie just across the road from the studio to buy one of their amazing french pastries.

The great thing about being located just outside Sheffield City Centre is the array of independent shops and eateries that line Abbeydale Road and a lot of the other neighboring areas close by.

As I look at forthcoming pottery classes and ceramics workshops to plan I would like to introduce a set of plates which are simple enough for a beginner to create as even a minimalist design like this relies on a certain amount of patience and skill to ensure symmetry and a pleasing overall result.

If you’ve ever thought about doing a pottery class or ceramic workshop to create something functional and beautiful for your home then why not check out my range of workshops currently available?
