6 Week Beginners Hand Building Pottery Course- 12 hrs
GROUP CLASS: 5-8 places max
Level- Beginner
This 6 week workshop is a great introduction for beginners to get started working with clay. You’ll be covering the main hand building pottery techniques; coiling, slab rolling, carving & pinch pots.
In the first 2-3 weeks you’ll learn a new hand building skill using a range of different clays, week 3-4 you’ll make something independently based on what you’ve learnt, with the final 2 classes giving a basic insight into glazing.
This class will run over 6 consecutive weeks- same day and time every week. (flexibility is available upon request) National and Bank Holidays may affect the running of this course. If this happens you will be emailed after your booking confirmation to find the best solution.

This is a hand building class and therefore a potters wheel will NOT be used.
What’s included: Pricing includes the cost of all materials and firing.
Collection of work: Most pieces are ready in about 21 days after your class has finished, but please be patient during quieter times.
Payments: All workshops must be paid for in advance via the website.
Cancellation and refunds: If you wish to cancel your place on a workshop you must do so at least 10 days before it starts to receive a full refund. Cancellation must be made in writing or email. If you cancel your place less than 10 days before your workshop starts, you will only receive a refund of 50%. Alternatively you can reschedule and book onto another equivalent workshop.
